Privacy policy

We keep only what the calendar needs to work. Nothing that identifies a child, no advertising, no selling of data.

Who looks after your data

What we keep

• The buyer's email address, to send your links and answer you.
• Your household's time zone and reminder times, so reminders arrive at the right hour.
• The first names or nicknames you add (up to six) and, if you choose one, an age range for each person, such as "6 to 8".
• Which doors each person has ticked, so the crib and the family page work.
• The reminder address your phone or browser gives us when you turn on reminders. It lets us send notifications and nothing else.
• A short log of reminders sent, so nobody gets the same reminder twice.
• Your email, if you join the Lent list, to send one email when the Lent calendar is ready.
• A scrambled copy of the buyer's email, so we can find your calendar when you ask us to send your links again.

We never ask for a child's surname, birthday, school or photo.

What we do not keep

Card, UPI and bank details go straight to our payment provider and never reach us. The provider tells us only that you paid, your email and which calendar you chose.

Cookies

One cookie keeps your household signed in on your device, for 120 days. It holds your private link key and nothing else. We use no advertising or tracking cookies. The payment provider's checkout may set its own cookies while you pay.

Where it is stored and who helps us

• Cloudflare runs the calendar and stores the data above.
• Our payment provider takes payments.
• An email service delivers the email with your links.
• Apple, Google or Mozilla deliver reminders to your device, as every web notification does.

Some of these services may store data outside your country. We share data with no one else, and we never sell it.

How long we keep it

Household data is kept while your calendar is open, and for up to 12 months after so you can come back to your finished crib or a later calendar. Write to us at any time and we will delete your household within 14 days. We keep only what tax law requires us to keep about the payment.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or turn reminders off at any time from the calendar or your phone's settings. Write to hello@slatehousestudio.in.
